TABLETOP HOCKEY RULES

boy playing game at market stall

Play is started by shooting steel-ball puck onto the playing surface and continues until a goal is scored, the puck is caught between the goalie and the goal post, or the puck goes off the board.

When a player hits the puck off the playing surface his or her opponent takes a penalty shot. This is done by firing the penalty shot directly from one of the two forward players, and not from the shooter. The penalized side can only use the goalie. Penalty ends when goal is scored, is caught by the goalie, or jumps off the playing surface.

Game can be played in three, three minute periods. An egg timer with a loud ring adds to the excitement. Since no two sides have exactly the same playing characteristics, players should change ends at the end of each period. website
